Free membership for all Indigenous youth
in grades 7–12. Come run with us.
What membership includes
Joining Windbreakers is completely free. Every member gets access to professional coaching, cultural programming, running gear, race entry fees, and a community built on respect and resilience.
Youth running on the road
Free Long-Distance Running Training
Train twice a week — Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings at Sir Alexander Elementary School. Our experienced coaches guide you through every session, whether you're a first-time runner or a seasoned competitor.
Cultural Programming
Connect with your heritage through sessions led by respected Elders and guest speakers. Learn about the traditions and histories of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples while building pride in who you are.

Gear & Apparel — All Covered
We take care of every expense so cost is never a barrier. That means running shoes, Windbreakers apparel, race entry fees, and, of course, post-run snacks — all provided for every member.
Events & Races
Compete in road races, cross-country meets, and major Indigenous games like the Alberta Indigenous Games and the North American Indigenous Games. Every race is a chance to represent your community with pride.
